September 2014 - Week One

 
Gunnar (Iceland) was here for four months and is now back to complete the One Year Course

Gavin (Alberta) has stayed on for an additional three months to build more instruments

 Gavin is building a Fan Fret Acoustic, it has East Indian Rosewood back and sides, Mahogony neck, Rosewood Fretboard and Bridge and Koa accents 








 
Stefan (Alberta) has also come back to build another Acoustic.
This one has Mun Ebony fingerboard, Mahogony body and Ebony- Bocote Rosette 
 
 
 
Riley (British Columbia) is building a 7 string Flying V.
The body is Black Limba with an Ebony Fingerboard and Ebony Veneer
 
 
 
 
Jesse (Wisconsin) is shaping the heal for attachment to the Acoustic he is building
 

 
Thanks Arlen (instructor at Summit) for working to make this room more functional
 
 
Luke (Ontario) is working on nuts and saddles in the repair department, he is beginning the One Year Program

 
Vegard (Norway) is working on intonation and saddles, he is also starting the One Year Program




Daniel (Spain) is working on the jigs for his first build, a solid body electric

Live Sound on Stuart Island

 
Len (Instructor) Kerr and Phil (Live Sound Students) had quite an adventure
They barged the gear up to Stuart Island for a  3 day private function. They did live sound for three seperate bands with three seperate set ups, then they got a helicopter ride back home
